S.O.A.R. Virtual Learning Expectations
Last year Lake Pleasant implemented a new program called PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports). PBIS is a proactive approach to promote and encourage positive behavior. The focus of PBIS is prevention, not punishment.
At Lake Pleasant, our acronym for the program is S.O.A.R. It is our goal to teach our students to be Safe, Organized, Aware and Responsible. Since we're starting the school year virtually, we've adapted our S.O.A.R. expectations to be virtual, too. These expectations should provide structure and assist your child to stay on track as we learn online. It is our recommendation that these S.O.A.R. expectations are printed and posted in your child's home learning environment.
