OPEN ENROLLMENT STATUS
Centennial is currently over our open enrollment capacity for the 2024-2025 school year and we are only accepting open enrollment of students who meet one of the following criteria of:
- Pupils returning to school from the prior year.
- Siblings of pupils already enrolled
- Pupils who are children of persons who are employed by the school or the district.
- Pupils who are in foster care or qualify under McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act.

In alignment with many other of our peer school districts, Peoria Unified will implement a requirement that only clear bags may be used at all after-school sports and extracurricular events held at any Peoria Unified high school beginning in 2024-25 school year. Using clear bags enhances safety measures which is a shared responsibility for everyone who attends district’s events at our high schools. It will also streamline the entry process for guests attending these events.

Peoria Unified Implements Bond Refunding to Benefit Community Taxpayers
At the March 14, 2024, Governing Board meeting, the Peoria Unified Governing Board voted 4-0 to approve the district to pursue a bond refunding related to prior bond sales in 2012, 2013 and 2014 that have become callable for early redemption.
Peoria Unified Students Showcase Patriotism in 37th Annual Speech Contest
Elementary students from across the district competed in the 37th Annual Patriotic Speech Contest. These students competed in front of their peers at their school sites earlier in the spring semester and advanced to the district level competition where they delivered their presentation in front of an esteemed group of judges.
Grand Canyon University Honors Country Meadows Principal Bridget Stockwell
Grand Canyon University honored Country Meadows Principal Bridget Stockwell as their January Principal of the Month for the state of Arizona. Mrs. Stockwell was presented with a plaque, certificate, and a check at a surprise assembly attended by many students from the school. The award was based on the accomplishments at the school in educational innovation and character education. Congratulations to Mrs. Stockwell and the entire staff and student body at Country Meadows!
What Does My Child Learn in a Year?
Peoria Unified has created One-Pagers that highlight what a student in elementary school will learn in a year by content area throughout one school year. The One-Pagers provide parents with resources to support their child depending on their grade-level.
